Dr. Nice has been at Commonwealth Veterinary Clinic since graduating from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. In 2010, he became owner of the practice. Dr. Nice is committed to this practice and this community. He lives in Waynesboro with his wife Melissa, and his 3 children - Aaron, Alandra, and Easton.
Leslie Sheridan , DVM, Chief of Staff
Leslie T. Sheridan joined the CVC staff in July of 2002. She graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in May of 2002 following 3 years at East Tennessee State University. She was raised in East TN on a 200-acre family-run beef farm and has wanted to be a vet since she was 5 years old. She has served with Christian Veterinary Missions in Ecuador, Tanzania, and Bangladesh ? providing veterinary services while working alongside local missionaries. Dr. Sheridan enjoys watching the TN Vols play football, photography, hiking, reading, and traveling. She is a member of Staunton Alliance Church and married Matt Sheridan in May of 2008.
Holly Barton , DVM
Holly F. Barton received her doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2008. Although primarily focusing on small animals during her senior year, she developed a strong interest working with cattle, sheep and goats. Having grown up in beautiful Nelson County, Dr. Barton is excited to return to the area. She currently lives in Charlottesville with her husband, Volker and her sweet beagle, Nia, and her two cats, Tachi and Pumpkin. She is very interested in all species and neurology is a special area of interest. In her free time, Dr. Barton likes to read, garden and play volleyball. She is also hoping to start taking dressage lessons again.
Weston Mims , DVM
Dr. Mims was born and raised in Staunton, Virginia. He graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Dairy Science in May 2006. He then received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2010. He practiced in southwest Virginia prior to returning to the valley and joining Commonwealth. Dr. Mims is married to his lovely wife, Elizabeth whom he met while the two were at Virginia Tech.
